Two companies invest over NT$ 600 million to station in Taichung Software Park (TSP) and Pingtung Export Processing Zone (PEPZ).

The Export Processing Zone Administration (EPZA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) convened an investment application review meeting, and two new investment applications, including Precision Work Mfg. Co. Ltd., and Inkscape Interior Design Co. Ltd. were approved to invest and station in. The total investment figure amounted to NT$643.8 million, which is expected to increase 90 job vacancies.

The EPZA indicated that Taiwanese businessmen were not worried about the influence from economic slowdown. They came back to Taiwan, invested NT$616.8 million to construct a new factory building, and founded Precision Work Mfg. Co. Ltd. in PEPZ. For manufacturing metal clips for file folders with high international competitiveness, Precision Work Mfg. Co. Ltd. also purchased multifunctional high speed processing machinery that developed successfully by domestic manufacturers. After years of researching and developing formulae and making real production improvements, Precision Work Mfg. Co. Ltd. successfully developed thin film materials which own high international competitiveness. Since Precision Work Mfg. Co. Ltd. did not need to rely on imported materials from Japan and Europe, it elevated its international competitiveness.

In addition, the file stationery that Precision Work Mfg. Co. Ltd. planned to produce received more than twenty patents from both Europe and America, and it passed the folding endurance testing from the American Laboratory. Precision Work Mfg. Co. Ltd. also had direct services in large international chain groups such as Target Stores, and it can survey market trends of end users for seizing market opportunities. (Target Stores is the second largest chain store in the U.S. It has 1,800 regular chain stores as well as online marketing, and its annual sales is amounted to over US$ 80 billion.)

According to the EPZA, except for Precision Work Mfg. Co. Ltd. stationing in PEPZ, Inkscape Interior Design Co. Ltd., on the other hand, entering TSP. Inkscape Interior Design Co. Ltd. invested NT$27 million for providing interior design, building design, and other related consulting services. By using 3D printer, Inkscape Interior Design Co. Ltd. can help its customers see reified results of interior design. Inkscape Interior Design Co. Ltd. will also have discussions for applying bionics and structural elements to interior and building design, and innovations of green buildings.

The EPZA indicated that TSP will be created to become the new base for cultural creation, digital contents and innovation research under the governmental policies. Currently many investors competed for applying to enter TSP, and establishing innovational research and development centers, cultural creation design, and talents training. Investors will create high value-added products by combining information communication technology and customers' experience, develop enormous business opportunities, and strengthen their brand value. Last but not the least, this will deepen industrial clustering benefits in TSP, build outstanding cornerstone for manufacturers' long term development, and improve economic developments of innovation technology, software industries, and metro area in central Taiwan.
