Organization: Industrial Development Bureau, MOEA        Publish Date: 2016-06-22 16:45
In order to help enterprises enhance intellectual property management and realize their potential value, the Industrial Development Bureau had revised the Industrial Innovation Act in 2015, by including intellectual property rights into tax extension, allowing to use enterprises’ developing cost for tax deduction, reducing tax by extending tax-free period to 3 years, etc. This not only encourages enterprises to utilize intellectual property management and potential value to enhance their competitiveness, but also resolve any insufficiency in funding, skills, and profit for new business. This policy and idea had become much appreciated by participants and triggered a lively discussion with the audience at the Workshop of Enterprise Intellectual Property Management hosted by Industrial Development Bureau.
In the era of knowledge-based economy, intangible assets shape the core values of an enterprises. Comprehensive intellectual property management is a requirement for enterprises with business strategic thinking and tactical execution capabilities, which will continue to help enterprises succeed in building intellectual property management system in order to expand operations in more depth.
