Empowerment of the Health Promotion Service Industry, Innovation of the Service Model for Industrial Development, and the Creation of New Healthy Life Business Opportunities

Commissioned by the Industrial Development Bureau, the Commerce Development Research Institute has carried out "The Development Program of the Health Promoting Services", the results of which were presented recently. Through the success story being shared on counselled cases and the demonstration of results at the venue, various types of innovative service models were presented. It is hoped that, through the application of information technology and cross-industry integration, service synergies can be achieved while more businesses in different sectors can join in this cooperation.
In view of the wide aspects and professional characteristics of health promotion services, the Industrial Development Bureau is to focus on four main areas, namely "Health Management", "Healthy Diet", "Sports and Fitness" and "Mental Wellness", rendering counselling services to businesses for cross-industry integration, utilizing approaches of technologization, modularization and systemization so as to develop adequate innovative service models. This year the Empowerment Scheme boasts 10 success stories: We Can Medicines Co., Ltd., Duo Fu Care & Service Co., Ltd., One Health Management, 104 Corp., Ten Life Corporation, Two Cents Technology Corp., Light Fitness, JoiiUp, Eatlohas, and Leadtek Research Inc. In all of these successful cases, innovative integration services that were individual-centered were provided to the above ten companies according to applications required by each respective target group. As a result, more innovative service models have been provided for Taiwans health promotion service industry.
With the advent of an aging society and lifestyle changes, peoples health needs are no longer confined to a simple hope for being disease-free; rather, taking the initiative to enhance ones health is increasingly being practiced. We believe that, through then ten businesses sharing of their experience and participants communication and information exchange, this presentation event can help drive the replication and diffusion of the successful service models we have achieved, thus jointly creating more opportunities for the development of Taiwans health promotion service industry.
