「2017 IDEAS Show @ APEC Innovation」IDEAS Show to Discover Future Internet New Startup

2017 IDEAS Show @ APEC Innovation, was held by Department of Commerce, Ministry of Economic Affairs from July 25 to 26, included panel discussion, expo and pitch competition etc. This program is made to become a demo stage for the young generation who is full of creative idea but no stage to show off. Today it launched the highlight of the event, 6-min pitch competition. MOEA is proud to announce that 「iamcompany」、「Theia, Co.」、「Linkross Lab Ic.」、「dipp」 and 「Fix Games Co., Ltd.」won the Judge Awards in the competition in 2017.

This year, the 35 startups from Taiwan, USA, Vietnam, Korea, Peru and Hong Kong were selected to participate in the following six categories: Social e-Commerce, O2O, Artificial Intelligence, Mobile Application, AR/VR and Big Data. From the solutions of the 35 startups, we see the hottest category is Social e-Commerce, which has shown the social e-commerce is a prevailing trend recently.

This year, total 12 judges, including four accelerators: Malaysia’s MaGIC, Singapore’s Plug&Play, Thailand’s TechGrind and Vietnam’s VIISA and several angel investors, were invited to vote for the potential stars. In addition, the program partnered with VIISA, MaGIC, Chunghwa Telecom and Qualcomm to discover together more future internet startups in the Asia-Pacific region.
