The Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) announced on February 14 that eTreego, a start-up from ITRI with the support of MOEA's Technology Development Programs, has received 40% and 20% investment respectively from Hotai Group (Hotai Motor & HUJUN Energy) and Shihlin Electric. Together, they have established "Gochabar," the first domestic charging service and operation software company. Gochabar provides charging point operator (CPO) smart charging service systems and aims to tap into three major markets: community buildings, enterprise construction, and public construction system integration services. The patented innovation Gochabar obtained from ITRI is capable of adjusting and controlling the active charging of individual electric vehicles, making it especially suitable for large-scale charging stations. It is projected to boost Taiwan's hardware and software capabilities in smart charging services.
