Department of Industrial Technology of the Ministry of Economic Affairs integrates the innovative technology of electric vehicles to connect with the world and facilitate the Mobility Taiwan Automotive Research Consortium (mTARC) to achieve three important achievements of Taiwan's New Southbound Policy (NSP). To begin with, "2022 Taiwan Automotive International Forum & Exhibition" (TAIFE) was held at Bangkok, Thailand on September 15 and attracted more than 100 Thai manufacturers and Taiwanese industry and research institutes to focus on the development of Electric vehicles and Autonomous Vehicles in Taiwan.

Next, mTARC advances the development of connections and business opportunities between Taiwan and Thailand electric vehicle industries and is honored to announce that Taiwan domestic electric buses are officially exported to Thailand on a mass-produced scale.

Moreover, mTARC cooperates with Thailand to build the largest lithium battery factory in ASEAN, which will expand production by 4 billion watt-hours within two years. These three new southbound achievements are equivalent to declaring that Taiwan has taken the place at the electric vehicle industry chain in Southeast Asia.
