WinBus, first self-driving minibus developed in Taiwan, was unveiled for test run and media tour on Sept. 24 at a demonstration event at Changhua Coastal Industrial Park in the county's Lukang Township. Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs Wang Mei-hua, Changhua County Commissioner Wang Hui-mei and several other guests were given a preview ride in the Winbus, traveling 4.4km journey from the testing center to the Taiwan Glass Gallery. During the demonstration, the vehicle simulated stopping for pedestrians and at traffic lights, and reduce its speed when vehicles in front of it slow down.

The ARTC has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Changhua County government to put WinBus to use in the fourth quarter of the year as a shuttle bus for factory tours.
