To help Taiwan's semiconductor supply chain seize AI market-related opportunities as quickly as possible, the Executive Yuan's Board of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Economic Affair's Department of Industrial Technology have thrown their full support behind the AI on Chip Taiwan Alliance (AITA), which is holding its annual membership conference today (October 21). Representatives from the industrial, official, academic, research sectors, along with related associations, are in attendance.  Industry players from Taiwan and overseas are utilizing the capacities of the AITA platform to develop device-side AI chip technology and are taking advantage of this opportunity to unveil a number of results.

Over 100 manufacturers have become members of AITA since its establishment in July 2019. The AITA platform has helped to promote the horizontal and vertical integration of members, and it has also attracted Synopsys and other international EDA software heavyweights to increase their investment in Taiwan. This has helped to enhance the complementary relationship these firms have with Taiwan's software and hardware makers, yielding the development of even more innovative applied products.
