Awards Ceremony of the 24th IBDC & Opening of the MOEA Technology Development Program Theme Pavilion
This 24th competition has a theme of "Intelligence, Sustainability and Living from Heart" to integrate the above mentioned trends, and focuses on the smart tech-aided design of e-bikes, as bikes are the perfect example of green transportation vehicle. This year's gold award is given to "BUCK-Personal Mobile Workstation", an e-bike by the hand of a Taiwanese designer targeting office commuters. BUCK is a work featuring collapsible elevator table and built-in intelligent navigation capable of finding suitable locations near the rider to stay to work, an ingenious product well exhibiting new way of living and design with feeling.

Parallel to the TAIPEI CYCLE 2022, this year also features the MOEA Technology Development Program Theme Pavilion during 9-12 March, focusing on e-bikes and electronic products which are the world's hottest trend. With DoIT's R&D achievements and industrial promotion by the Industrial Development Bureau integrated, 21 technological program results in the bike area are exhibited at the Pavilion, including "EBike", "IOT and Bike-E", "testing capacity", "smart manufacturing" and "talent training and zero carbon promotion program." One of the highlights at this exhibition is a smart e-sport bike that is in sync with international technology and features a core controller with intelligent aiding model capable of detecting changes of slope and adjusting the aiding ratio intelligently. It also guides rider's pedaling frequency to higher efficiency levels in response to ergonomic needs, a sport e-bike that knows you than you do. The core control technology has transferred to a number of makers including ADATA, Formula Engineering Inc. and Green Fast Transmission Co., equipping Taiwan's makers with a cutting edge in developing accessory systems.
