The Export Processing Zone Administration (EPZA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) recently reported that the park's Investment Review Commission approved SGS Taiwan Limited to set up the Cianjhen branch office in Cianjhen Technology Industrial Park, and the total investment figures amounted to NTD330 million. After the establishment of the SGS Cianjhen branch office, in addition to meeting the needs of the industry, it could also combine the resources of the Kaohsiung Branch (located in Nanzih Technology Industrial Park) to continue to focus on the development of inspection, verification and training of environmental protection, food, building materials and restricted substances. So that allows SGS's services to complement each other in Cianjhen and Nanzih Technology Industrial Park in Kaohsiung, providing the industry the most satisfactory services in testing, verification, inspection and training.
EPZA stated that SGS is the most credible and the first brand in the word, with more than 140 years of testing, verification, inspection and investigation services. So far, about 78 percentage of the manufacturers in Cianjhen Technology Industrial Park are SGS customers, SGS could be closer to customers and service the manufacturers in Cianjhen nearby after the establishment of Cianjhen branch office. Recently, manufacturers in Cianjhen Technology Industrial Park have continued to increase investment in automotive electronics and related components, in addition to providing customers with existing services, SGS could also expand to provide automotive electronics and semiconductor raw materials inspection and testing services.
In addition, Investment Review Commission also approved One Shouh Co., Ltd. to invest NTD35 million to operate in the Kaohsiung Software Park. One Shouh Co., Ltd. is mainly engaged in software development and maintenance of warehouse management system services. The warehouse management system developed by One Shouh Co., Ltd. could simplify and automatic the inventory history process. In the future, the company could cooperate with relevant manufacturers in the Kaohsiung Software Park with cloud warehousing requirements to reduce the company's warehouse management and personnel costs.
EPZA emphasized that the Technology Industrial Parks provide talent cultivation, energy conservation and carbon reduction consulting and diagnosis for enterprises.
