As Taiwan-U.S. relations get closer, the Taiwan Expo will be held in Washington, D.C. for the first time. It will showcase Taiwan's soft and hard power, while propelling bilateral collaborative relations. Under the auspices of the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT), TAITRA will run the Taiwan Expo from October 12 to 14. BOFT held the press conference on September 29 as a warm up to the Expo. The industries of Taiwan and the U.S. are highly complementary, especially in semiconductors, 5G, electric vehicles and components, which have already formed good supply chain relations.



The BOFT has stated that the U.S. is one of Taiwan's most important allies. In recent years, bilateral trade relations have been strengthened through practical approaches, such as the Economic Prosperity Partnership Dialogue (EPPD) and Technology Trade and Investment Collaboration Framework (TTIC), which have enhanced business cooperation and communication between the two countries.
