Taiwan Sugar Corporation extends an invitation to the public for coffee, jazz and story sharing at Huashan Creative Arts Park on NOV.6-1
Taiwan Sugar Corporation (TSC) will hold a free concert and rummage sale in the form of an auction this Sunday (11/6) at Taipei Huashan Park in the afternoon. It aims to promote the idea of charity by providing care to the small-scale coffee planters of Honduras at high altitude zones. The revenue from the rummage sale will be converted to the equal value of materials from the corporation for donation to social charity groups. TSC invites the public to Huashan Creative Arts Park to enjoy the jazz music, the coffee from Honduras and the story behind the event during a relaxing Sunday afternoon.

According to TSC, in 2017, the Company entered the coffee plantation zone in Honduras, a country with full diplomatic relations with the ROC, to assist in their development of rural areas. TSC has been purchasing coffee beans directly from the local coffee planters and has launched in Taiwan coffee products from these small-scale coffee planters. TSC even works in collaboration with certain non-profit organizations to give back a certain percentage of the revenues from coffee sales to the plantation zone of Honduras to assist them in building schools. With the assistance from TSC, the plantation zone has established 3 schools so far and the 4th school is in construction.

The cup of coffee from the small-scale coffee planters at the high altitude zones of Honduras has a meaningful tale, TSC went further. The idea of concern for social charity is expected to thrive in Taiwan. TSC will invite Vicky Sun, Patrick Trios  and Sunny Bank to perform Jazz music from 1:30 pm to 6:00 pm this Sunday afternoon at the lawn in front of Huashan Creative Arts Park for the public, free of charge. In addition, TSC will also serve the exotic coffee from the planters at the high altitude zones of Honduras. Coffee gurus will share their skills with the public by preparing decent cups of coffee.

TSC will also hold a rummage sale at the same time through auctions starting with NT $1 offers. The contents of the sale include coffee and instant food products, and a thousand dollars worth of food good for health and even skincare. All sales in the auction will start off with NT $1 offers. The revenue from the sale will be converted to materials from TSC at equal value for donation in kind to Happy Mount Colony. This is a meaningful way to share the love of the public to the disadvantaged of the society. By the same token, the coffee beans from the small-scale coffee planters at the high altitude zones of Honduras under TSC will produce warm and meaningful cups of gourmet coffee.
