The Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) commissioned the Commerce Development Research Institute (CDRI) to organize the "2022 Southbound, New Ground Forum". On 15 November 2022, several domestic and overseas industry executives were invited to share their experiences on industrial trends in the countries for Taiwan's New Southbound policy, especially regarding the use of digital marketing technology to accelerate overseas market expansion. Representatives from the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Taipei, the Malaysian Friendship and Trade Centre, Taipei, and the Indian Taipei Association also joined the forum, in which more than 180 industry stakeholders attended.
