According to the statistics, 2,307 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with a total amount of US$12,409,550,000 were approved from January to November 2022. This indicates a decrease of 5.76% in the number of cases, but a increase of 84.71% in FDI amount compared to the same period of 2021.
      With regard to inward investment from Mainland China, 44 cases were approved with an amount of US$34,952,000 from January to November 2022. This indicates a increase of 15.79% in the number of cases, and a decrease of 24.09% in the FDI amount compared to the same period of 2021. From July 2009 to November 2022, 1,554 cases were approved with a total investment amount added up to US$2,562,477,000.
      In terms of Taiwan’s outbound investment (excluding Mainland China), 492 projects were registered from January to November 2022 with a total amount of US$9,288,617,000, indicating an increase of 32.61% in the number of cases, and a decrease of 4.48% in the amount, as compared to the same period of 2021.

      As for Taiwan’s outward investment to Mainland China, 330 applications have been approved from January to November 2022, indicating a decrease of 14.95% compared to the same period of 2021. The approved investment amount is US$4,486,042,000, 6.39% less than the same period in 2021.
