DoIT of MOEA showcased the "3D Real-time Service System" that would enable interaction among users in real time.
More than 30 innovations were presented at 2022 SEMICON TAIWAN, an exhibition held by the Department of Industrial Technology (DoIT), Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA). DoIT Director General Chiou Chyou-Huey pointed out that Taiwan's semiconductor industry has been a driving force for the global economy, as it yielded NTD 4.1 trillion in 2021, ranking the second highest in the world. With the accelerated developments of AI, 5G, and AIoT technologies, semiconductors have been widely used in advanced communication, power components manufacturing, and photoelectric technologies. Investing more than NTD 20 billion since 2019, MOEA aims to advance breakthrough technologies and incubate startups in the hope of fostering smart lifestyles.

In 2022, ITRI developed an edge-cutting SOT-MRAM with major industry players. It has a writing speed of 0.4 nanoseconds, and its performance is 20% higher than the ones produced by Samsung. It can endure 7 trillion times reading and writing. To realize rapid charging, ITRI's silicon baseplate for charging stations and onboard battery chargers adopts SiC MOSFET, instead of Si IGBT. With a voltage of 800V and a low current, it has half the charging time of the one with 400V. ITRI also developed an X-ray-based size analyzer for measuring complicated 3D structures in nanometers. The analyzer is 60% faster than other models, making it the fastest 2-nanometer size analyzer in the world. A startup company, NanoSeeX, has been established and aims to raise a fund of about NTD 300 million.
