OPTIMAL Intelligent Mobility, a joint venture established by the ARTC with the OPTIMAL Group of the United States in the form of patented technology pricing, was officially unveiled on October 26. This is the first autonomous driving system commercial cooperation project between a Taiwan research institute and the United States. It will focus on the North American market at the initial stage, and lead Taiwanese manufacturers such as Chimei Motor, oToBrite, Kopherbit, and CubTek Group to enter the international market, promoting the integrated energy of Taiwan's autonomous driving technology and products. It is estimated that after verification in 2023, it will be mounted on vehicles and sold in the North American market in the following (2024), which will expand huge business opportunities for Taiwan's manufacturers of autonomous driving industry chain.
