BOFT Launches "SME Export Promotion and MICE Mentorship Program on Carbon Reduction"
The first 2023 seminar on "SME Export Promotion and the MICE Industry's Low-Carbonization Mentorship Program" was hosted by the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) at the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) on April 21. The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) introduced 6 major guidance measures for the two core concepts of "low-carbonization and "smart transformation". Booths were set up with experienced personnel who provided explanations, while live broadcasts were conducted simultaneously so that interested guests who were unable to attend could also receive information first-hand. Follow-up seminars will subsequently be held in Tainan, Hsinchu, Kaohsiung, Taoyuan, Taichung, and Hualien.

The BOFT stated that enterprises are facing multiple challenges in digital and green transformation. Digital marketing capabilities and low-carbon transformation are two major priorities that will actively enable industries to expand export sales. Through a series of measures, the goals are to help enterprises upgrade their digital marketing capabilities, utilize smart technology and artificial intelligence to accurately key on overseas customers, deploy throughout the global markets, while providing them with guidance to reduce carbon emissions for exported products and packaging. This seminar is also expected to help SMEs enhance their international competitiveness and explore more opportunities for overseas business.

The BOFT announced the acceptance of application guidance measures on April 17. Business stakeholders interested in gaining detailed application information and guidance are welcome to visit the websites of the BOFT ( https://www.trade.gov.tw ) and TAITRA ( (https://exportnexpo.taiwantrade.com/home/home.html ).
