The Eleventh Taiwan Gold Print Awards Winners Announced, Fusion of Traditional Graphic Arts and Digital Technology.

The Eleventh Taiwan Gold Print Awards Ceremony was held in the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts in Taichung. Hosted by the Industrial Development Bureau at Ministry of Economic Affairs, over one hundred representatives from industry, government, and award winners gathered. Award winners’ works unreservedly demonstrated the amazing fusion of traditional graphic arts and digital technology.

The competition award categories were: Book Printing, Magazine Printing, Poster and Catalogue Printing, Packaging Printing, Digital Printing Applications, and Other Printings. The awards went to nineteen excellent printing companies in Taiwan.

Choice Development, Inc. showcased its ability to print high quality publishing materials, and won the First Prize of the Book Printing in both Hardcover and Paperback categories. Very experienced in printing boutique magazines, Kolor Color Printing Co., Ltd. won the Second Prize of Book Printing, in the Hardcover Book category, as well as winning both the First and Second Prizes in Magazine Printing in the Eleventh Taiwan Golden Print Awards.

The winners of Printing Industry Contribution Awards were Mr. Ming-Shiang Chiang, the Honorary Chairman of Kaohsiung Printing Business Association, and Professor Mr. Chang-Lang Chen, the Dean of Graphic Communication of Arts of National Taiwan University of Arts.

Devoted to the printing imaging and printing technology innovation, and doing its utmost in promotion and development for Taiwanese printing industry, Hsing Tai Color Printing Co., Ltd. was the winner of the Technology Innovation Award, and the First Prize in Digital Printing Applications.

The winning works demonstrate Taiwan’s breakthrough in printing abilities and innovations. The Industrial Development Bureau will keep promoting printing related projects to assist the integration of industry, government, and academia to increase cross-field co-operation, as well as to improve the visibility and competitiveness of Taiwan’s printing in the world.
