To ease requirements of Nanzih Export Processing Zone (NEPZ) industrial production space, the Export Processing Zone Administration (EPZA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) keeps making efforts to increase industrial lands. EPZA releases about 4,360 square meters of administrative office field land in NEPZ to attract manufacturers to establish factories and expand investments, meeting the requirements of looking for lands to establish factories and expand constructing factories by manufacturers. Moreover, encouraging manufacturers to improve park foundations or convenient facilities by feedback mechanism to enhance the construction of high-quality services environment.
According to EPZA, in order to promote land turnover in parks, EPZA launched the "base turnover" policy since 2016. LiteOn Technology Corporation came out on top of the first investment. The phase 1 of the innovative factory building has been completed and donated a multi-functional building (6 stories and 1 underground) in the administrative field, the building has been completed and made customs administrative service divisions, police station and post office conveniently stationed in jointly. After administrative divisions relocated, the old area is released again as a turnover base, which can be used to build new factory buildings by increasing investment of enterprises, and gradually achieve the renovation goal of the EPZ.
The land for investment in this project is located in the administrative area of NEPZ (original fire brigade and Nanjia restaurant). The buildings in the area have been used by administrative service divisions with low capacity rates for nearly 50 years. In response to the land demand of Taiwanese companies abroad to invest in Taiwan for the establishment or expansion of factories, EPZA actively promotes the reconstruction of the administrative field spaces in NEPZ. Through the demolition of the buildings in the field spaces step by step, the factory lands will be released in different phases and districts to attract manufacturers to further invest.
EPZA pointed out that, after the phase 1 relocation started, some administrative service divisions in the field have stationed in multi-functional building, and released the first phase of the field about 4,360 square meters of lands for investment announcements. The plan has been announced on June 15, 2020, and the deadline for the investment application is July 15, 2020. The investment announcement information has posted on the "latest news" of EPZA's official website (http://www.epza.gov.tw), welcoming investors to search on it and download the related documents and forms.
