Taiwan-Sweden trade talks enhance green transition and EV industry cooperation
The 2021 Taiwan-Sweden Trade Talks were held virtually on 24 November 2021. Taiwan's Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs Chern-Chyi Chen and Sweden's State Secretary to the Minister for Foreign Trade Krister Nilsson co-chaired the meeting, which focused on strengthening the long-standing partnership between Taiwan and Sweden.

The meeting advanced bilateral economic and trade cooperation in a range of sectors and practices, including electric vehicles, semiconductors, sustainable development, fintech, transparent tax information, recognition of data on Good Laboratory Operations, and building general aviation relations.

State Secretary Nilsson explained the establishment of the Sweden-Taiwan Green Transition Alliance, which aims to enhance bilateral cooperation on de-carbonization. Deputy Minister Chen highlighted Taiwan's advanced ICT industry and expressed hope in promoting collaboration with Sweden on EV and semiconductor supply chains.
