Taiwan's exports to Central and South America hit a new high in 2021 and continue to grow in the first quarter of 2022
1.In 2021, Taiwan's exports to Central and South America reached a record high of US$7.73 billion, increasing 41.3%.

2.Mexico and Brazil are Taiwan's main export destinations in Central and South America, accounting for nearly 70% of our total exports to those regions. In recent years, Mexico's importation of goods from Taiwan has increased nearly 3% annually, making Taiwan the seventh largest source of imports in Mexico. In addition, Taiwan's brand name gaming laptops have gained the highest market share of products in the local market.

3.Besides enhancing economic and trade benefits through FTAs/ECAs with our allies, the BOFT has also organized various activities this year to expand exportation and business opportunities for our manufacturers.
