Stats on Taiwan's CBAM exports to EU for 2016-2020

Taiwan’s annual exports to the European Union for the period 2016-2020 of items to be covered by the EU’s planned Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism in the initial stage, namely iron and steel, cement, fertilizer, electricity, and aluminum, ranged from between 727 million euros (US$ 863 million) and 1.542 billion euros, accounting for between 3.16% and 5.75% of Taiwan’s total annual exports to the EU, according to tallies from the European Statistical Office.

By item, iron and steel topped the list, accounting for between 98.14% and 98.90% of Taiwan’s annual exports of these CBAM product items to the EU during the period, the Eurostat tallies showed.
