ALP Forum

The Asia Low Emission Development Strategies (LEDS) Forum serves as the premier annual gathering of policymakers, donors, practitioners, and other experts involved in enabling low-emission, climate-resilient development in Asia. The annual event aims to facilitate regional coordination; share tools, models, approaches, and best practices; and increase capacity and readiness of practitioners to lead and implement LEDS and green growth initiatives.

Participants at the Asia LEDS Forums also work together to identify new regional priorities for action and collaboration, based on common needs and challenges expressed by countries represented. Top priorities form the focus areas for activities of the Asia LEDS Partnership in the coming year in order to ensure the Partnership’s activities provide value to governments and other stakeholders in the region.

Asia LEDS Forum 2017, held on December 5-6 in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam, focused on “Resource Mobilization for NDC Implementation in Asia” and brought together more than 200 participants from 24 countries across the globe. The 2-day Forum included several thematic, interactive sessions designed to foster peer-learning and exchange between Asian and international officials and experts. It succeeded in providing support countries in mobilizing finance to implement priority actions on low-emission development and green growth.
