TDP for Unmanned Vehicle

Unmanned Vehicles Technology Innovative Experimentation Program

In order to promote and encourage the development of unmanned vehicle technology, the Department of Industrial Technology (DoIT) formulated the "Unmanned Vehicle Technology Innovation Experimental Regulations" by introducing the supervisory sandbox to build a safe experimental environment.  This regulation could encourage all the innovators from industry, academe and research to devote themselves to the POC, POS and POB of unmanned vehicle, which could temporarily exclude the application of relevant supervision regulations within a specific scope.

DoIT officially announced the application of “Unmanned Vehicle Technology Innovation Experiment Program” on October 25th, 2019.  Several experiments, which will drive investment in R&D, increase employment opportunities and other industrial benefits, have been approved and progressed in Taipei, New Taipei city, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Taichung, Changhua, Tainan and Kaohsiung, such as last mile connection, tourist shuttle, city transit, logistics delivery, etc.
