MOEA Launches Resilience Taiwan to Support Exporters
On August 25, the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) introduced the project Resilience Taiwan. Starting September, three major events will be held: the Electronic Products and Smart Medical Equipment Exports Procurement Meeting, the Building a Resilient Supply Chain Conference, and the Trade Mission Delegation to the New Southbound countries. Resilience Taiwan is meant to help Taiwanese exporters increase exports for their products.

The Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) Director General Cynthia Kiang said that the new project was also directed at maintaining the level of exports despite the impact of the pandemic, growing inflation, and the transformation of market demands. Market and product diversification plus digital marketing are the core strategies driving Resilience Taiwan. Taiwanese manufacturers could hopefully export more products to North America, the New Southbound countries, Eastern Europe, and Africa. Besides the three major events, the MOEA will also hold over 100 events including a series of exhibition tours, export tours, and procurement meetings.
