The 2023 Golden Pin Design Award and Golden Pin Concept Design Award are now open for submissions, starting from April 6th.Designers from all fields worldwide are welcome to participate and showcase their exceptional design talents on this international stage!

Originating in 1981 and currently organized by the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and executed by the Taiwan Design Research Institute,the Golden Pin Design Award recognizes outstanding design works each year by awarding them the Golden Pin Design Mark.The award aims to encourage businesses to value design and research and development,enhance brand value through design,and provide certification of quality design for consumers and the market.It also aims to elevate public awareness and appreciation of design value and aesthetics.Since its global expansion in 2014,the award has attracted numerous renowned companies and design firms from around the world,establishing itself as a reputable and influential accolade.

The Golden Pin Design Award and Golden Pin Concept Design Award encompass diverse categories,including Product Design,Communication Design,Spatial Design,and Integration Design. Each year,a panel of global design experts is invited to serve as judges,ensuring a strong lineup of expertise.Among the internationally renowned judges announced in the initial lineup for this year's awards are Vo Trong Nghia, a Vietnamese architect acclaimed for innovative modern bamboo architecture,and Kazushige Miyake,a prominent Japanese product designer. In the preliminary and secondary selection stages,experts such as Yu Yamada,a Japanese design procurement specialist,and Hjalti Karlsson,co-founder and creative director of the top visual design studio Karlssonwilker in New York,will contribute their diverse perspectives.The complete list of juries will be announced soon.

The Golden Pin Design Award invites submissions for commercially available and market-ready product designs or completed spatial/integration design works. Entries can be submitted by businesses or design teams. Each year,outstanding design works are selected and awarded the Golden Pin Design Mark. Additionally, the prestigious "Best Design Award" and "Special Annual Award" are presented to recognize exceptional works that embody industrial innovation. The registration fee for the Golden Pin Design Award is NT$5,000 per entry, and the registration deadline is 5:00 PM on July 5th (GMT 8). Participants who complete their registration and payment before June 12th can enjoy an early bird discount,with a registration fee of NT$3,500 per entry.  

The Golden Pin Concept Design Award encourages innovative design concepts and has no registration fee. Entries can be submitted by individuals or groups, including students, designers,or companies, for works that have not been produced or sold in the market or for unrealized proposals.The registration deadline is 5:00 PM on June 29th (GMT 8). In addition to awarding the Golden Pin Concept Design Mark to outstanding conceptual works each year, three winners will be honored with the "Best Design Award", receiving a prize of NT$400,000 each.
