The Bureau of Foreign Trade commissioned the Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association (CIECA) to hold the “The 16th Taiwan-Poland Joint Business Council Meeting & Taiwan-Poland Business Networking” with the Polish Chamber of Commerce at the Taipei International Convention Center on November 19. The conference was co-chaired by Mr. Fred Huang, Vice Chairman of CIECA and Mr. Marek Kłoczko, Vice President and Director General of the Polish Chamber of Commerce. Welcoming remarks were delivered by Amb. Weber V. B. Shih, Rep. of the Taipei Representative Office in Poland, Mr. Bartosz Ryś, acting head of the Polish Office in Taipei, Ms. Amelia W. J. Day, Secretary General of the Bureau of Foreign Trade, MOEA and Mr. Bartłomiej Lewandowski, Head of the Non-European Countries Unit of the Department of International Trade, Ministry of Economic Development, Labour and Technology.
The webinar meeting focused on the topics of Medical Care and Epidemic Prevention, Green Energy, and Electric Vehicles. Speakers from Taiwan included Dr. Chien Chung-Liang, CEO of the Institute for Biotechnology and Medicine Industry, Mr. Lin Chun-hsu, Ph.D. and Research Fellow/Deputy Director of the Center for Green Economy at the Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research, and Ms. Sunny Lee, Senior Sales Manager at the Electric Vehicle Charging Solution BU/Delta Electronics, Inc. They shared their insights on industry policies and joint business ventures between foreign and Taiwanese firms in these industries. Over 100 people from these industries in Taiwan and the Poland attended the webinar in order to strengthen business opportunities and industrial cooperation.
