Hosted by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, the 2021 Kaohsiung Food Show took place at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Centre from October 28 (Thursday) to October 31 (Sunday).

Kaohsiung City Government Deputy Mayor Lo Ta-sheng, Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) Director Lai Guo-Xing, and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) Chairman James C. F. Huang opened the exhibition and delivered speeches.

This year's Kaohsiung food show had the participation of many international distributors and industry insiders; it was Southern Taiwan's brand of an international expo.

In addition to exotic delicacies from all over the world, the Kaohsiung City Government also assisted local food companies to set up the Kaohsiung Seafood Flavors pavilion and the Kaohsiung Products Special Area to promote local fresh fruits, vegetables, and aquatic products.

For the first time, the Taiwan Frozen Meat Packers Association and Taiwan Fermenting Food Industry Association organized a group of companies to participate in the show, making the Kaohsiung Food Show diverse and lively.

The exhibition has an ongoing online version from October 28 to November 25. International and domestic buyers could still visit and acquire business opportunities. The four-day event had attracted nearly 10,000 people and qualified buyers in the center and the public can also visit this online show and see some of their favorite internet celebrities.

For international buyers who were unable to visit the exhibition in Taiwan and meet exhibitors face to face, Bureau of Foreign Trade has arranged online sourcing and procurement meetings, a great help for the domestic food industry to acquire more international business opportunities.
