ICD Director General speaks at Asia LEDS Partnership Symposium

Department of International Cooperation Director General Alex Liao delivered opening remarks at the 2021 Asia LEDS (Low Emission Development Strategy) Partnership Symposium held in Kaohsiung City on Dec. 24.

Also speaking at the opening were Tze-Luen Alan Lin, deputy executive director of the Executive Yuan’s Office of Energy and Carbon Reduction, Emani Kumar, secretary-general of the Asia LEDS Partnership, and Jui-Hun Chang, executive director of the Local Governments for Sustainability Kaohsiung Capacity Centre (ICLEI KCC).

The forum was organized by the ICLEI KCC. Participants included delegates from the Asian Development Bank and Japan’s Institute for Global Environmental Strategies, as well as various members of industry, academia and research institutes in Taiwan.
