78th Plenary Meeting

The 78th Plenary Meeting of the International Cotton Advisory Committee was held in Brisbane, Australia from Dec. 2nd to 5th, 2019. The theme was " Global Leadership: Pushing Cotton's Boundaries.” Member and non-member government representatives, international organizations, NGOs, academics, and industry representatives were invited to attend.

More than 10 seminars were held on a range of topics, including the world cotton market report, the impact of climate change on the cotton sector, traceability of cotton production, cotton seed exchange, how to cultivate high-yield and high-quality cotton seeds, how to ensure the quality of cotton production, high-tech programs to assist small and medium-sized cotton farmers, techniques to increase yields, and so on.
