With the support of the Department of Industrial Technology (DoIT), the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), five organizations and companies from Taiwan won the 2021 Edison Awards.

The Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) collected one gold for its AI-Based High-Density Shuttle Rack Service System and one silver for its microbial dye technology MetabColor, marking the fifth consecutive year that ITRI has won this honor.

The other three bronze prize winners include Metal Industries Research & Development Centre (MIRDC) for its Continuous Micro Parts Heat Treatment System Equipment (CMHT), EBM Technologies for its Ubiquitous Diagnostic Environment (UDE) app, and ProLogium Technology for the ASM-Active Safety Mechanism.
