The island-wide promotion of DoIT’s "Regional Innovation and Research Parks/Centers" policy enabled a better connection between Research Institutes capabilities as well as regional businesses and academia R&D resources. It also accelerated regional innovative businesses and new ventures’ success models. These connections gave rise to forming a corridor towards a more solid industrial innovation system along with industry transformation and upgrading.
