To enhance the interactive exchanges between labor, management and government departments in the central and northern technology industrial parks and promote harmonious friendship, the Bureau of Industrial Parks (BIP) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) held the "2024 New Year Labor-Management-Government banquet of the Technology Industrial Parks (Central section)" on February 27, 2024. The banquet brought together representatives from 3 technology industrial parks in central Taiwan, 24 industrial parks service centers in central and northern Taiwan, and 36 industrial park associations, as well as more than 300 corporate executives, labor representatives, and politicians participated, demonstrating a strong New Year atmosphere and a spirit of mutual assistance and cooperation.
The BIP Director-General Yang, Po-Keng, pointed out that with the reorganization of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the bureau now has jurisdiction over 80 parks across the country, covering more than 75% of industrial land, making it the largest industrial parks management agency in the country. The Director-General emphasized that the bureau's administrative vision is centered around "smart, safe, and sustainable" principles, promoting five major tasks: "providing quality space, guiding manufacturers upgrades, implementing low-carbon safety measures, promoting smart services, and creating a friendly workplace." The aim is to optimize the investment environment and support the sustainable development of parks and enterprises.
During the banquet, Director-General Yang also commended the outstanding achievements of companies in the parks in terms of exhibition participation, business networking, and talent cultivation. He encouraged all participants to work together to face global economic challenges, increase employment opportunities, provide a safe working environment, and demonstrate the spirit of mutual assistance between labor and management. And everyone works together to fight for economic growth.
The Bureau of Industrial Parks emphasized that the challenges and opportunities faced after the restructuring require the joint efforts of all enterprises and public sector colleagues to achieve success. The sodality banquet not only strengthened communication and collaboration between labor, management, and government but also injected new momentum into the future development of the parks. It is hoped to integrate the advantages of technology industrial parks and industrial parks, simplify administrative procedures for resource sharing, assist manufacturers in sustainable development, create new operating achievement, and ultimately enhance the competitiveness of our country's industries.
