The 2023 DATE SUMMIT was conducted online on 22 November featuring experiences shared by 19 AI experts from six countries, including the United States, South Korea, and Norway. They were joined by such companies as Microsoft Taiwan, Amazon AWS, Taiwan AI Labs, and Foxconn. The theme of the Summit was "AI in Action: Creating New Value with AI", which explored innovative AI applications in four major areas: "Unlocking Transformational Value", "Enabling a Sustainable Future", "Enhancing our Lifestyles", and "Assisting with E-commerce Retailing".
The Summit utilized AI technology to create a virtual stage and introduced a groundbreaking presentation approach by using 3D life-like V-tubers. The entire event was broadcast using AI text-to-speech technology and received 4,795 views during streaming.
Director General Ms. Cynthia Kiang of the International Trade Administration (TITA) delivered remarks that noted the rapidly changing international landscape and the explosive growth of AI. She pointed out that TITA has actively promoted various guidance programs, such as the "Industrial and SME Upgrade and Transformation Project,"to assist companies in their digitalization, smart transformation, and low-carbon upgrading.
