About MOEA

E-Mark Concept

The redesigned logo of the Ministry of Economic Affairs is an abstract combination of the first two letters of the word “Economic” and incorporates the previous logo’s color blue – symbolizing stability and professionalism – along with the addition of the color green – symbolizing sustainability and innovation. This new logo embodies a service-oriented ethos of being proactive, innovative and approachable.

Logo redesign

Based on the values of continuity, transition, innovation, sustainability and diversity, the MOEA's redesigned logo inherits its past visual image and utilizes sleek geometric forms to embody abstract concepts, aiming to create a memorable identifiable image with contemporary design and aesthetics. Simultaneously, by amalgamating elements from the past, present and future, this new logo communicates the MOEA's important mission, vision, progressive core values and influence.

Symbol configuration

The logo is an abstract combination of the first two letters of the word “Economic,” while the three horizontal lines symbolize the Ministry’s three major areas of responsibility, including industry, energy and trade affairs.

Color scheme

Continued use of the color blue in the new logo represents the Ministry’s stability, professionalism and reliability. The fresher shade of blue is combined with the color green, symbolizing sustainability and innovation, which are central missions of the Ministry. The new logo presents the Ministry’s contemporary image and future vision and embodies a public service-oriented ethos of proactivity, innovation and approachability.

Font Design

The Chinese font used in this redesigned version is a sleek and vibrant customized typeface that seamlessly combines the nimble 'Hei' typeface and classic 'Song' typeface. Paired with the English typeface 'Neue Haas Grotesk Display,' the synergy between primary and secondary fonts creates a more contemporary, airy and harmonious combination, which when placed alongside the Ministry’s new logo creates a recognizable, comfortable and balanced overall tone.
