Subject: Suspension of the Certificates of Origin and related regulations under the Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Republic of Nicaragua



Legal Basis: Paragraph 4 of Article 2-4 of the Regulations Governing Issuance of Certificates of Origin and Certificates of Processing

1. On 15 December 2021, the Republic of Nicaragua unilaterally abolished the Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Republic of Nicaragua. Our delegation to the WTO has already informed the Nicaraguan delegation to the WTO and the WTO Secretariat that the suspension of the Free Trade Agreement takes effect on 1 July 2022.

2. This Bureau’s Announcement Mao Fu 09600166520 on December 21, 2007 ceases to be applicable.
