Director General William Liu of the International Trade Administration (TITA) under the Ministry of Economic Affairs attended and delivered opening remarks at the Online Briefing on Industry Talent Training, Internship and Employment Opportunities for Students from Belize, Eswatini, Guatemala and Paraguay hosted by TITA on June 29, 2026.
The event also featured speeches by several distinguished guests, including Ambassador Katherine Vanessa Meighan of Belize, Embassy of Guatemala Commercial Counselor Carlos Matus, and Kingdom of Eswatini Embassy First Secretary Abbigail Pieterse.  Additionally, the Ministry's Industrial Development Administration and Department of Investment Promotion introduced the AI Rising Star Program and the Contact TAIWAN online job-matching platform, respectively.
The briefing attracted nearly 60 talented students from the four featured nations which maintain official diplomatic relations with the Republic of China on Taiwan.
