On October 2, Deputy Minister Cynthia Kiang of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and Lord Anas Sarwar, Minister of State for Trade at the UK Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade (BIST), co-chaired the 2026 Taiwan-UK Trade Talks. The discussions focused on bilateral trade, economic policies, economic security, and cooperation in key sectors, including clean energy, advanced manufacturing, and life sciences.
