Technology Policy Section
Allocate budgets and resources to the TDPs; draft legal regulations for technology development and industrial applications.
Formulate industrial technology policies, promote international R&D collaboration to enhance innovation, and publicize TDP achievements.
Technology Program Administration Section
Coordinate the management, systematic evaluation and review of the TDPs.
Manage the performance, affairs of various foundations, and the innovation centers under the department.
Innovation and Startups Section
Promote the transformation of high-potential, cutting-edge technologies from academia and legal entities into startups.
Provide funding for industries to advance cutting-edge R&D technologies.
Electronics and ICT Section
Develop semiconductor, quantum computing, and display technologies to diversify innovation in the smart technology field in Taiwan.
Optimize R&D in the wireless communication technology and application environment, accelerate the integration of software and hardware, and enhance domestic R&D capacity.
Machinery and Transportation Section
Develop key technologies for smart electric vehicles and promote innovative applications in the unmanned vehicle industry.
Enhance the autonomy of key components, and develop advanced, recycled metals along with construction process technologies.
Biomedical and Materials Section
Combine biomedical technologies with ICT to develop precision medicine, innovative medicinal products, advanced medical devices and food-related bioresources.
Promote the development of net-zero carbon reduction technologies and essential civilian materials for daily life; develop high-value, differentiated, and sustainable petrochemical and textile materials and technologies.
