2023 Taiwan Job Fair Opens in California After Four-year Hiatus
The MOEA co-organized the 2023 Taiwan Talent Recruiting Mission with TAITRA to help Taiwan companies recruit foreign talent. The mission, alongside Taiwan businesses, held job fairs at campuses and visited three local universities in Los Angeles and San Francisco between September 25 and 28.

The recruitment fairs took place at the University of Southern California (USC) and San Jose State University (SJSU), and neighboring academic institutions, tech organizations, and alumni associations were also invited to attend. Over 400 professionals showed up at the event, leading to over 1000 productive discussions between companies and candidates. An estimated 190 matches were made, and the mission was considered a great success.

To establish a talent recruitment system with local universities, the mission visited University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Stanford University, and the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) and gave an introduction to MOEA`s Contact TAIWAN professional matchmaking platform. The Economic Division of TECO San Francisco also invited local tech organizations, Taiwanese business associations, and Taiwanese student associations to host networking workshop, with enthusiastic exchange of ideas and experiences.
23 Taiwan businesses were invited to participate in the mission and provided 174 job openings seeking over 350 personnel. Participating companies include Delta Electronics, AUO, Hon Hai, Inventec, Wistron, Asus, UMC, Micron, and more, offering a wide variety of positions.
Companies stated that the event allowed them to conduct in-person exchanges with outstanding talents and prestigious universities in the US. Participants also took the chance to seek employment opportunities in Taiwan, furnishing greater options for future career development.
