The 2023 Taisugar Charity Run kicked off today (Dec 16) at the Taisugar Liuying Jianshanpi Resort. Attended by over 1600 enthusiastic runners and the event ambassador, visually impaired artist and runner Hsin-Ting Lin, they collectively "ran with love" as they surged across the starting line. Taisugar converted the love demonstrated by everyone into material donations worth NT$100,000, contributing to the Tainan Association on Mental Retardation. This action embodies Taisugar's core belief in "Spreading Love through Runs, Making Charity Effortless."

The 2023 Taisugar Charity Run is now in its 8th edition. Looking back, the inaugural Taisugar Run started at the Liuying Jianshanpi Resort. This year, the charity run returns to this very location, not only to uphold Taisugar's intention of organizing runs for charity but also to allow participants to witness the successful operations of the Liuying Jianshanpi Resort.

Taisugar President Li-Jen Chen highlighted the Taisugar Liuying Jianshanpi Resort's dedicated efforts in ecological rehabilitation for the rhinoceros beetle and fireflies over the years, as well as advocating for an eco-friendly, green, and low-carbon footprint tourism model. The resort has also earned certifications for its environmental education facilities. Moreover, it was honored with the 2021 Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Action Award and consecutively received the Five-Star Occupational Safety and Health Award and National Corporate Environmental Protection Award in 2023. Taisugar hopes that through this running event, participants will profoundly experience the idyllic landscapes of the Jianshanpi Resort, appreciate the ecological wonders of nature, and witness the beauty of Liuying Township.

Additionally, Taisugar invites various charitable organizations to join each edition of the Taisugar Charity Run. The company donates goods valued at NT$50 for every participating runner to charitable causes. This year, Taisugar invited the public to rally behind the Tainan Association on Mental Retardation by participating in the run, attracting approximately 1600 runners. Taisugar has enhanced their commitment by converting the collective love shown by everyone into material donations worth NT$100,000. The aim is to assist in the care of the mentally disabled individuals, help nurture their skills, and socially integrate them to contribute to the well-being of society.
