On 21st of March 2024, the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Republic of Paraguay held the 4th Joint Committee Meeting of the Agreement on Economic Cooperation (ECA) by videoconference.

Minister of Economic Affairs Mei-Hua Wang and Minister of Industry and Commerce of Paraguay Javier Gimenez co-chaired the meeting.

During the meeting, the two sides talked about market access and related issues for the Taiwan-Paraguay ECA and looked forward to deepening bilateral economic growth and development through further business cooperation.

Minister Wang and Minister Gimenez praised the positive benefits the ECA has brought to bilateral trade, and said that both sides will create more business opportunities by supporting private enterprises.
